Elim Extra for Sunday July 14, 2024
Pastor’s Reflection
Thanks to all who joined our outdoor worship with First Presbyterian Church last Sunday! It was so nice to enjoy the hospitality of our ecumenical siblings and the great weather in the park.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Elim church picnic on Sunday, August 25th at 10 a.m. at the Eden park and community center, hosted by Steve and Sue Munson in Eden, UT. More info will be forthcoming. And in the meantime, don’t forget Evening Prayer on the Lawn, every Wednesday in July at 7:30 p.m. Lots of opportunities to pray outdoors this summer!
This week we are reaching the end of our summer sermon series on “questions.” Since the month of July is really hard on our dogs (what with all the fireworks), we are going to focus our gathering on celebrating the animal companions God has given to our lives. Our old friends Ole and Lena will be asking the question, “Do dogs go to heaven?”
Looking ahead, next week I will be gone to celebrate Kinley’s first birthday, and Pastor Steve Tharp from First Baptist Church will be leading our worship. The ecumenical theme continues….
with love,
Pr. Chelsea
